During a weeklong mission trip to Belize City in collaboration with Amazing Facts International, I had the privilege of documenting a team that came ready to serve. The work touched different parts of the community through medical outreach, construction projects, Vacation Bible School, and personal connections that often happened in small, quiet moments. This was my second mission trip with Amazing Facts and each time I'm invited to go, I'm filled with a sense of greater purpose. It's always great to see my content being used to showcase a church's philanthropic efforts or to simply capture moments that they can cherish as memories of their experience.

I brought my new Sony a7V to capture both footage and photos. It was my first time using it in a setting where the pace kept changing. Within the same day, I would be filming a work crew outside, then a high energy children’s program, and then a quick move into a medical outreach setting with sensitivity and small moments of connection between the missionaries and the people they came to serve.

Just a few weeks before starting this job, I switched to Sony and was eager to discover its capabilities, and it certainly impressed me. During my time in Belize, where I was filming and occasionally taking photos, I felt assured that choosing the Sony a7V was the right decision. I valued having a single camera body that could meet the demands of a mission trip.

Each time I use this camera, I learn more about its capabilities and I'm able to customize the settings to make me even more efficient. I have more jobs lined up this coming fall so stay tuned!
